The above-mentioned Alekhine books do not exist in (English) algebraic notation, except in the truncated edition Alexander Alekhine's Best Games (B.T. Alexander Alekhine, My Best Games of Chess 1908-1937 (Russell Enterprises 2013). Here is an example of Alekhine's handwritten comments (in English, Alekhine was using the descriptive notation then used by chess publishers, while in German, he was using the algebraic notation). Some of his earlier correspondence games were written T. Batsford Ltd., 1996), which cannot be warmly recommended. He commented some of his own games but also some games from others players taking part in this top chess event. Until World War I, Alexander Alekhine spelled his last name Aljechin. World Chess Champion Alexander Alekhine comments his game against Danish player Jens Enevoldsen in the 1939 Buenos Aires Olympiad. Reviewed by Dennis Monokroussos. As a child, Alexander's nickname was Tisha.
